A century later, the elephants return to the Gauteng Magaliesberg!
The largest and most awesome of Africa's kings reclaims the territory it made its home over 100 years ago is. Humans have learned some valuable lessons over this time, namely to understand and work with these magnificent creatures. Today the two can co-exist in perfect harmony.
Plumari Africa is delighted to announce the arrival of Nzewe and Damara, two majestic elephants saved from being culled due to massive overpopulation in their former Limpopo reserve home. Both have recently completed the re-known EFAF training program and are now available for an elephant experience :- involving learning about, touching, feeding, walking with through a game reserve and even short rides. We have found that the elephants love the partnership and human interaction and a huge win/win is achieved. But come and see for yourself. 100 years is a long time and there is a lot of catching up to do.
This takes Plumari Game Reserve to four of the big five plus Hippos, all just an hour away in the Magaliesberg.
