Farm Life E-mail

I was born In England to a South African father and an English mother so when I was still a baby they decided to move to SA!

We immigrated back over to England when I was still very young however I will never forget my experiences over there. There are just some things you just can't experience growing up in the UK! For example the big open spaces, the animals, being able to afford a swimming pool and have a big garden. Kids are in the big outdoors all the time unlike in the UK!

I was more fortunate though as a lived in a rural of South Africa near Magaliesburg called Hekpoort. We lived on a farm there so we had so many adventures; we pretended to heard the cows and made figures out of the natural clay in the earth. I also made friends with a young Afrikaans girl called Natalie who lived in the cottage next to ours! It truly is a beautiful part of South Africa and in my opinion a great place to bring up kids!
