The West Coast National Park is not quite the conventional safari park and is more for bird lovers and sea lovers. There are boat tours and the likely things you will see there are the Cape Gannet, Jackass Penguin, Flamingo’s, Waders and Black Harriers. Therefore it is a definite must for those interested in birds especially birds from a certain area. It is an unforgettable experience especially to watch those cheeky penguins frolicking in the sea.

For Elephant lovers this is the place to be! The park was set up in 1931 when there were only eleven elephants left in the area. Since then it has vastly expanded to having over 400 elephants. What a lot of people don’t know is that Addo is the only National Park in South Africa that is the home of the Big 7 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, whales and great white sharks.) All of these animals are in their natural habitats!
